Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday vowed to fight all terrorist threats as he expressed grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of 10 Pakistan Army soldiers in the Kech district of Balochistan.

As many as 10 Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom after terrorists attacked a security forces check post in Kech on the night between January 25 and 26, Pakistan military media wing ISPR said in a statement on Thursday.

“Our brave soldiers continue to lay down their lives to keep us safe from terrorists,” the prime minister said in a Twitter post. “I salute the 10 martyred soldiers who repulsed a terrorist fire raid on checkpost in Kech Balochistan. We are resolute in our commitment to rid Pakistan of all forms of terrorism.”

Army said that attack on the military check post by terrorists was followed by an intense exchange of fire. The forces repulsed the attack, killing one terrorist, injuring several others and arresting three militants as a search for those who launched the attack was still underway.

Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) militant group claimed responsibility for the attack.
