Pakistani film, Bin Roye, to hit theatres in India on August 7

Latest Pakistani film, Bin Roye, will finally begin showing in cinemas in its major parts on August 7, after 19 days of its release, according to Bollywood Life.

The film, which was set to release on Eid in India alongside Bajrangi Bhaijaan, was postponed due to unknown reasons, said a representative of HUM Films.

Following the announcement of its release in India, Maharashtra Navnirman Chitrapat Karmachari Sena (MNCKS) had given the call to ban it from releasing across the state of Maharashtra. However, the group had no issue with film being released in other parts of India.

Bin Roye is the first Pakistani film to be released in over 10 countries on Eidul Fitr, Bin Roye stars popular actors like Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed and raked in around Rs2.8m in one cinema in Karachi and Islamabad.

The film has generally received a positive response from audiences across the globe. Running in New Zealand, Fiji and Singapore this week, the film is holding its cinemas in the UK (No. 12 at the box office), US (No. 32 at the box office), the UAE, South Africa, France, Denmark, Oman, Bahrain and Qatar.

In , the said that the film was a result of a lot of hard work: “Bin Roye has been a true labour of love, a testament to how all odds can be defied when you are passionate about something. I signed on to it when my career was at a high and it was frustrating waiting for it to be completed. Eventually, I began reading other scripts and signed on for the drama Sadqay Tumhare. Losing myself to another role was refreshing” said the film’s  leading lady Mahira Khan in an interview with Dawn.

Pakistani romantic drama film, Bin Roye, has been directed by Momina Duraid and Shahzad Kashmiri. The film is based on the original novel Bin Roye Aansoo by Farhat Ishtiaq. The film stars Mahira Khan, Humayun Saeed, Armeena Khan, Zeba Bakhtiar, Javed Sheikh and others. The film was released worldwide on July 18, 2015, the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
