Ambassador Masood says Pakistan food festival to improve Pak-China cultural ties
The Musical Food Festival organized by the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing in order to bring people from both the countries further closer allured the significant number of epicureans on its opening ceremony.
The food festival, organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing at China World Hotel, is showcasing a wide range of authentic Pakistan’s rich and delicious cuisine.
Ambassador of Pakistan to China Masood Khalid delivered a welcome speech at the opening ceremony and highlighting the importance of people to people connectivity through this festival.
Generously sprinkled spices have spread their aroma across the city, tempting Chinese people and other foreigners to enjoy Pakistani food.
Ambassador Masood Khalid said this is a great opportunity to experience Pakistani food with its trademark aroma and spices. Ambassador thanked the Chinese government for providing support to this festival.
The food festival included famous Biryani, chicken Haleem, and Sajji along with various other Pakistani delicacies along with traditional Pakistani music.
On this special occasion, Chinese Urdu poet Zhang Shixuan commentated and said I love Pakistani food, it seems as I am celebrating Eid today.
On the other side Prof Huang Jiefu, Member of China People’s Political Consultative Committee, Deng Xi Jun, China’s Special Envoy on Afghanistan and Ambassador (Retd) Sha Zukang, President of China-Pakistan Friendship Association were also present.
The inaugural ceremony of the festival was attended by a large number of Chinese officials, intellectuals, civil society members and Pakistani community. The guests greatly appreciated the rich Pakistani cuisine and music.

The food fest aims to strengthen cultural ties between Pakistan and China people through food and to based on a long historical tradition and cooking excellence.
