Minorities rights under attack in India, says Kashmiri leader

Srinagar, June 22: All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader and Chairman of Islamic Political Party, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash has stated that the basic structure of Indian State and polity is based on communal thoughts and fascist vision. Naqash stated that as a result the life of minorities in India especially Muslims, Christians and Sikhs has been made miserable and their economic, Social and other rights are being attacked. 

Naqash in a media statement also said that since 1947 Indian state has forcibly and illegally occupied the Kashmir and has suppressed religious, economic, social rights etc of people of Kashmir and scuttled every righteous voice raised.
Naqash expressed concern that Muslims are being selectively attacked and threatened in Jammu region and observed that the situation is turning grave like in 1947 when 5 lac Muslims were massacred by communal Hindutva forces and remarked all this is aimed at converting the Muslim Majority of Jammu region into minority.
Naqash stressed on Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir to remain steadfast and fight till Kashmir is liberated from the clutches of illegal occupation and added that Islamic identity of Kashmir, revival of human rights will only be achieved when Kashmir achieves freedom from Indian occupation.
