Pakistan and Turkish military leadership discuss defense ties, air force cooperation

Pakistan and Turkey discuss enhancing collaboration and exchanging expertise between the air forces

Pakistan and Turkish officials discussed ways to further promote Pakistan-Turkey defense ties, particularly between the two air forces through mutual experience sharing, during the recent meetings.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber, who is on a four-day official visit to Turkey, held meetings with the senior military leadership of Turkey.

PAF Chief separately met Turkey’s Minister for National Defence Hulusi Akara and Chief of the Turkish General Staff General Yasar Guler, according to the DGPR Air Force.

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, also called on Commander of the Turkish Air Force is General Hasan Küçükakyüz.

Both the commanders held detailed discussion on enhancing collaboration and exchanging expertise between the air forces of the two countries to meet the challenges of the contemporary world. The discussion also included exchange and training of pilots between PAF and TURAF.
