Pakistan celebrates Eid ul Fitr with religious fervour and prayers

Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Pakistan with religious zeal and fervour, prayers of peace, with sweets and selfies.

Eid prayers were offered at mosques and Eid gahs in all cities and towns of the country. Special prayers were offered for the well-being of the country while in sermons the Ulema will highlight the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr.

President Mamnoon Hussain and caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk extended Eid greetings to the nation and urged people to pray for the peace, progress and prosperity of the country and follow the teachings of Islam in reducing injustices in the society.

Gen Bajwa spends Eid with troops at LoC

Army chief General Qamar Bajwa offered Eid prayers with troops at the Line of Control on Saturday. The chief of army staff, accompanied by Rawalpindi corps commander, prayed for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity, the Inter-Services Public Relations said in a statement. General Qamar lauded the troops’ commitment, high morale, and devotion to defend Pakistan. He hailed the country’s martyrs for their sacrifices in the line of duty.
