At TVI Today, we strive to provide you with the most engaging and informative coverage of current affairs, and a wide range of topics, including global issues, business, technology, culture, and politics.

Tele-Visual Infolink (TVI) was established by Mr. Akhtar Jamal, Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Press Agency (PPA).

Initially, TVI started as a visual clipping bank and gradually started providing news & event clips to dozens of local and foreign TV networks. Later on, TVI started to offer special coverage of international & regional meetings, seminars, exhibitions, and lectures on Pakistan and regional affairs.

In the year 2007, TVI published the most comprehensive Book & CD on Pakistani websites entitled “Web Guide to Pakistan”. In the year 2009, TVI brought out one of the unique books on Media “Pakistan Media & PR Guide”. The second edition of this guidebook with fresh inputs and editions was published in 2015.

On 14 August 2010, TVI launched the website “ViewPakistan”. The main objective to launch this website is to promote Pakistan as a worldwide destination and create awareness about Pakistani culture, heritage, lifestyle, and tourism among locals and foreigners. At the same time, we also wish to assist and help foreigners and friends of Pakistan abroad to acquire information on and about Pakistan.

In February 2015, TVI introduced Islamabad Scene – the first, exclusive and essential guide on Islamabad. The online portal covers news and events happening in Islamabad city. It contains information on must-see places, historic sights, attractions, restaurants, shopping, and all you need to explore the city.

Today the purpose of TVI is to provide a unique opportunity for our viewers to enter into an exceptional world of media with the presentation of different publications and productions to meet the emerging demands in the innovative hi-tech age. TVI offers exclusive news, conducts surveys to ascertain public opinion on national, international & current issues, and aims to promote & project the production of Short films.

In Pakistan, TVI operates mainly from its Islamabad office while it maintains regional offices in all provincial capitals. TVI also has its correspondents in the United States, Germany, China and the Middle East.

About PPA

Pakistan Press Agency (PPA) was established in 1990 in Karachi by Mr. Akhtar Jamal (an experienced journalist who served several reputed international news organizations for more than ten years in Ankara, Vienna and Beirut)) as its Chief Executive and Mr. M. N. Deen, (who had retired as director of Press & Information Department, Government of Pakistan) as its managing editor. (Unfortunately Mr. Deen expired in 1998).

Initially PPA started its work with Jang Group of Newspapers for which Mr. Jamal had already worked for years.

On April 30, 1990 PPA established its Islamabad Bureau office which was inaugurated By Mr. Jamal and attended by the founder and the then Editor-in-Chief of Jang Group of Newspapers, Late Mir Khalil ur Rahman. The ceremony was attended by two other federal ministers and several prominent journalists, diplomats and VIPs.

PPA gained popularity during Iraqi occupation of Kuwait and the 1991 First Gulf War due to massive coverage with its correspondents in Middle East particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Ankara, Istanbul, Beirut, Tehran, Cairo and Baghdad.

More than one hundred thousand stories of PPA have already been published during last one decade particularly in Karachi newspapers. Daily Dawn also published several PPA exclusive stories as its main lead.

Apart from more than a dozen Urdu newspapers, several English dailies, including Pakistan Observer (Islamabad), The News International (Karachi), Jang London, Frontier Post (Peshawar) and Daily Statesman pulished PPA stories.

Mr. Akhtar Jamal has traveled widely and attended dozens of Heads of the States Summit Meetings of different regional and international organizations including OIC, ECO, NATO, SAARC etc. He also speaks more than six foreign languages and specializes in regional political and geo-strategic developments.

In 1998 PPA published its first book “Who is Who in Pakistan” edited by Akhtar Jamal. PPA has two main offices in Pakistan, Islamabad and Karachi.
