Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Ali Alizada, visited underprivileged and orphan children during the Eid ul Adha holidays and cheered them with holiday gifts.
The embassy of Azerbaijan in Pakistan in collaboration with Azerbaijan-Pakistan Youth Forum set up the “Eid Gifts Distribution and Qurbani” ceremony for the orphan children of Anjuman Faizul Islam, Rawalpindi on behalf of Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva (Hilal-i- Pakistan) First Lady of Azerbaijan and President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
H.E. Mr. Ali Alizada, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan has greeted participants and children and informed them about strong ties and shared values of two nations that bring the Muslims of Azerbaijan and Pakistan together.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ali Alizada briefed participants of the event on activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Azerbaijan and other countries of the world. He noted that the foundation had implemented number of healthcare, education and humanitarian projects in all districts of Pakistan as well.
He acknowledged efforts of Mian Muhammad Siddique, President, Anjuman Faizul Islam and Mr.Mohammad Asif Noor, President of Azerbaijan-Pakistan Youth Forum and Goodwill Ambassador of Sweet Homes for their tireless support to all initiatives of Heydar Aliyev foundation in Pakistan.
Children of Anjuman Faizul Islam presented a beautiful cultural show and different programs.
The Chief Guest of the event, Mr. Muhammad Baligh ur Rehman, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training said: “Pakistan and Azerbaijan are strategic partners in the promotion of Education, Science and Technology among the youth of our countries”.
Mr. Rehman further said that Pakistan and Azerbaijan are partners in promoting peace and development with togetherness, brotherly fraternity and deep understanding of each other through dialogue and partnership.
Addressing the audience, Mian Muhammad Siddique, President Anjuman Faizul Islam shed light on the work of Anjuman Faizul Islam as currently the orphan house is providing boarding, lodging and school facility to the students from different parts of the country. There is a lot of support that is necessary and required however Mian Muhammad Siddique thanked Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva for her generosity and efforts for supporting the children.
Mr. Muhammad Asif Noor, President, Azerbaijan-Pakistan Youth Forum also spoke on the occasion. He noted that Azerbaijan has been a great friend of Pakistan and that Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, First Lady of Azerbaijan, is a generous lady who continued working for spreading happiness amongst those who are underprivileged.
Mr. Noor also stressed to enhance economic partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
