China lauds Pakistan’s anti-terrorism efforts, vows to protect CPEC

Pakistan has categorically denied India’s flimsy allegations of Jaish-e-Muhammad planning a terrorist attack in India

China’s Foreign Ministry lauded Pakistan’s efforts for countering terrorism at an international level and said that any attempt to sabotage CPEC will be thwarted. The strong support came from China after India accused Jaish-e-Muhammad planned an operation an India, which was averted.

“China appreciates the positive contribution by Pakistan to the international counter-terrorism cause, firmly supports Pakistan in cracking down terrorist forces. Attempts that aim to sabotage #CPEC are doomed to fail,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lijian Zhao said.

Modi makes terrorism claims

Only a few days after Pakistan provided irrefutable evidence of New Delhi’s involvement in terrorism on it, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused that Jaish-e-Muhammad’s attempt to carry out a terrorist attack was stopped.

“Neutralising of 4 terrorists belonging to Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed and the presence of large cache of weapons and explosives with them indicates that their efforts to wreak major havoc and destruction have once again been thwarted,” Modi said in a tweet.

False flag operations are nothing new for India. Concocting stories of heroism out of thin air has been the forte of the current Right-Wing Ultra Hindu Nationalist BJP government. They have previously carried out surgical strikes in Pakistan that exist purely on paper.

Pakistan rejects groundless allegations

Pakistan’s Foreign Office “categorically” rejected what it said were “groundless allegations”. The FO was quite clear that this is yet another Indian attempt to divert the attention from the atrocities that it is carrying out in Kashmir. It will also help BJP’s government to change the discussion from the evidence Pakistan provided about the Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan.

“We view these as part of India’s desperate attempts to divert international attention from its state-terrorism in IIOJK [Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir] and state-sponsorship of terrorism against Pakistan. It is evident that India has stepped up anti-Pakistan propaganda, following presentation of the Dossier by Pakistan providing irrefutable evidence of India’s state-sponsorship of terrorism,” the FO said.

Pakistan also called out India to stop using terrorism as an instrument of state policies and asked UN to hold an investigation on the basis of the evidence put forward.

“Pakistan calls upon the UN counter-terrorism bodies to proceed on the basis of evidence provided by Pakistan and urge India to renounce use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy, dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism it has established to inflict terrorism on Pakistan, and stop the use of other countries’ soil for its terrorist activities directed against Pakistan,” the FO added.
