The diplomats were shown proof of India attacking civilians with cluster ammunition

Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major-General Babar Iftikhar took a delegation of diplomats, defense attaches and ambassadors to the Pakistani side of Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir. The foreign dignitaries were briefed on the situation in the area and India’s blatant violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Iftikhar also shed light on India’s human rights violation and use of heavy weaponry to target the civilian population on Pakistani’s side.

“India is violating human rights in occupied Kashmir,” he said. “It is committing provocations and deliberately targeting civilian population with heavy weapons to divert attention from its oppression of minorities,” he said.

He also enlightened the delegation of the Indian forces use of cluster ammunition, targeting the civilian population of Neelam Valley on July 30 and 31. Under international laws, these actions by India are illegal. Fragments of the ammunition used were also shown to the diplomats. “The use of cluster ammunition is prohibited under international law,” he said.

The delegation that visited the LoC included representatives from Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, EU, Portugal, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, Palestine, Greece, Australia, Islamic Republic of Iran, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Iraq, UK, Italy, Poland, Uzbekistan, Germany, Switzerland, France, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Afghanistan and UN-World Food Program.

India continues its tyranny

Meanwhile, India has paid little heed to international calls for giving the Kashmiri people their due rights. Indian forces have not only maintained a stranglehold over Occupied Kashmir’s population through military power but also have committed crimes on the LoC by purposefully targeting civilians includes young children. India also does not allow the UN mandated annual visits in the area. Foreign journalists are not allowed in the occupied region. Some have even been arrested for showing India’s true face. A delegation like this is unheard of, on the Indian side as they don’t want to expose their crimes against humanity.
