German newspaper links Nawaz Sharif’s daughter with Panama Papers

Pakistan Prime Minister’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif is the beneficial owner of the Panama companies, German Newspaper ‘Süddeutsche Zeitung’ confirms.

Süddeutsche Zeitung is the first newspaper which received the 11.5 million secret files from Panama-gate, the list of Pakistanis with off-shore holder included in that list.

According to the official twitter account Germany’s newspaper, SZ Investigativ tweeted that the documents show the personal information form of Minerva Services Ltd. Maryam was again shown as beneficial owner.

“For those in Pakistan who doubt the role of the prime minister’s daughter Mariam Safdar in Panama Papers – some of the documents. Judge yourself” the newspaper tweeted.

The twitter account posted some important personal document of Maryam Safdar which further clarifies Maryam’s ownership of Minerva Financial Services offshore companies exposed by Panama Papers scandal.

Along with the Minerva Financial Services Limited documents, a copy of the Maryam’s old passport also accompanied the tweet.

Meanwhile, Pakistan opposition party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) who is hearings on Panamagate in the Supreme Court been trying to establish that Maryam is indeed the beneficial owner of Minerva.

While talking to the media PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhary demanded to Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s name to Exit Control List (ECL) because she involved in money laundering.

Minerva is the holding company for Nescoll Limited and Nielson Enterprises Limited, two off-shore enterprises at the centre of the scandal engulfing the prime minister’s family.

Nescoll and Nielson are the owners of four flats in London’s upscale Park Lane neighbourhood, and the prime minister is under legal pressure to disclose the sources of funds used to purchase them.
