Superstar Humayun Saeed is making his way back to television screens. The actor, who became a household name with his strong performances in TV serials such as Mehendi, Chaandni Raatain, Doraha and Ishq Junoon Deewangi, is all set to star in Dillagi which will be his first serial in over 4 years, according to a press release.
Humayun was last seen in the critically and commercially successful serial Kaafir. Dillagi is slated to release in 2016 and will see Humayun reuniting with Nadeem Beyg, director of his recent blockbuster movie Jawani Phir Nahin Ani.
Speaking about why he chose Dillagi as his comeback project, Humayun stated “It is one of the best scripts I have come across in a very long time. Faiza Iftikhar has written it very well; in fact it wouldn’t be wrong to say this is one of her best works till date. Then of course Nadeem is directing it. I have always preferred to do projects that have very well put together teams, which is why Dillagi felt like the perfect serial to do after a break of 4 years”.
The year 2015 has already been a successful one for Humayun, as he appeared in two notable films Bin Roye and JPNA. He also made a cameo appearance in Dekh Magar Pyaar Say and recently wrapped up filming for the action-epic Yalghaar.
