Pakistani legislator says under Vienna Convention hearing of criminal cases doesn’t fall under ICJ
Pakistan has responded International Court of Justice (ICJ) to Indian charges regarding Kalbushan Jadhav, Pakistan said it would not be cowed down by terrorists and would utilise all legal means to safeguard its people and soil.

Director General of South Asia in Foreign Office Dr Muhammad Faisal Presenting Islamabad’s stance before the court at ICJ, Pakistan maintained that the ICJ did not have jurisdiction to hear the Indian application.
Dr Faisal said that India had kept silence over the issue of passport recovered from the Indian agent. The passport had a Muslim name and Jadhav had already confessed to causing damage to Pakistan.
Dr Faisal said that spies do not have any right of counselor access and India did not produce evidence provided by Pakistan against Yadav in the international court.
Earlier during arguments, Pakistani Counsel Khawar Qureshi said India’s allegation regarding kidnap of its spy is not true and he was arrested on Pakistani soil.
Ambassador Moazzam Ahmad Khan, Dr Muhammad Faisal and Syed Faraz Hussain were present at the Peace Palace as members of Pakistan’s legal team.
Last month, a Pakistani military court awarded death sentence to former Indian Navy official Kulbhushan Jadhav for espionage and subversive activities in the country.
The International Court of Justice has reserved its verdict regarding Indian application against the conviction of Indian Spy Kulbhushan Yadav by Pakistan.
