Pakistan has proof of Indian role in Lahore blast: NSA
Pakistan has found “concrete evidence” about the involvement of India in the recent Johar Town blast in Lahore.
The investigations carried out by the country’s security and intelligence agencies led to “undoubted and concrete” evidence and linkages that have confirmed Indian involvement in the terrorist attack in Pakistan, revealed National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr Moeed Yusuf.
Addressing a joint news conference with Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry and Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Punjab Inam Ghani, Dr Yusuf said Pakistan will continue its efforts to expose India’s sponsorship of such attacks internationally.
“Through the forensic analysis, electronic equipment, which has been recovered from these terrorists, we have identified the main mastermind and the handlers of this terrorist attack. And we have no doubt in informing you that the main mastermind belongs to RAW, lives in India and is an Indian citizen.”
The NSA said with the help of coordination among the country’s military and civil intelligence agencies, they had identified all characters involved in the attack, saying they knew “fake and real names” and addresses of these people.
He recalled that the “Indian use of territory and people of third countries, which actually embarrasses other countries, is not new”. Pakistan has constantly reminded the world of Indian actions, including a “detailed dossier that was put out last November with details of finances, of action, of support coming from India,” said the national security adviser.
Punjab police chief Inam Ghani said all those involved in the bombing have been arrested, including an Afghan named Eid Gul who lived in Pakistan and actually parked the explosives-laden car at the site of the blast.
The bomb blast in Lahore’s Johar Town on June 23 had killed three people and injured 22 others, including two police officials.
