Islamabad Serena Hotel declared Pakistan’s leading Hotel 2017 at prestigious Travel Awards ceremony

Islamabad Serena Hotel has bagged two awards at the 2017 World Travel Awards Asia and Australasia ceremony in Shanghai, China on June 4, 2017.

Hosted by the luxury Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai, the prestigious event was attended by 250 hospitality leaders from across the regions.

World Travel Awards Vice President, Chris Frost, said: “It has been an honour to recognise some of the leading hospitality providers from Asia and Australasia tonight and I offer my heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of them.

Frost continued: “I look forward to seeing many of tonight’s winners later this year at the Grand Final in Vietnam, where they will compete for the global titles.”

Serena Hotels scooped four awards at the prestigious World Travel Awards. Two awards were bagged by Islamabad Serena Hotel in the category of ‘Pakistan’s Leading Hotel 2017’ and ‘Pakistan’s Leading Hotel Suite 2017’. The other two were won by Kabul Serena Hotel and Dushanbe Serena Hotel.

Deluxe Holidays was declared ‘Pakistan’s Leading Travel Agency 2017’, whereas  Quality Aviation emerged as ‘Pakistan’s Leading Travel Management Company 2017’. Hertz was awarded the prize for ‘Pakistan’s Leading Car Rental Company 2017’.

Global Winners

Sri Lanka claimed the title of leading destination and leading adventure tourism destination for Asia at the World Travel Awards Asia & Australasia 2017.

Hainan Airlines was announced the 2017 winner for Asia’s leading airline.

In Australasia, Air New Zealand was hailed Australasia’s Leading Airline and Australasia’s Leading Airline Brand.

Michael Henssler, chief operating officer, Asia, of Kempinski Hotels,  took home the trophy for Asia’s Leading Travel Personality 2017.
