Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei told the Iranian Chief Justice to pursue official support to Bahrain, Kashmir and Myanmar
Iran’s supreme leader – Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, has called upon the Judiciary of his country to pursue support and adopt official position for Kashmiris who are fighting against Indian oppression in the occupied valley.
According to Iranian media, Supreme leader Ayatollah Seyyed Khamenei has called upon the Iranian Judiciary to pursue and adopt official position on international issues like Kashmir and Myanmar.
Ayatollah Khamenei made these remarks at a meeting with high ranking members of Iran’s judiciary including Chief Justice, Sadeq Amoli Larijani.
“The Judiciary should intervene from a legal position in such issues as sanctions, US confiscations and terrorism or [come out] in support of downtrodden personalities in the world such as Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky or the Muslims of Myanmar and Kashmir,” Iran’s official news agency, quoted Khamenei as saying during a meeting with country’s judiciary officials.
“Regarding its legal position, Iran’s judiciary should enter international issues such as the sanctions, US confiscations of property, terrorism, the support for oppressed personalities like Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky [Nigerian Shia leader] or Muslims of Myanmar and Kashmir, and should express its firm support or opposition in order to be reflected globally,” Khamenei said.
This should be noted that, Khamenei’s statement is not the first time that Iranian leader has spoken in support of the oppressed Kashmiris. On Eidul Fitr last month, he reportedly mentioned Kashmir, equating the situation in the disputed region with that of Yemen and Bahrain as requiring the support of “all Muslim nations”.
