Provincial govt aims to resolve load-shedding issue through renewable energy

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has  approved his government’s proposal of converting 4000 mosques on solar energy throughout the province.

Pakhtunkhwa government aims to resolve the problem of load-shedding  through converting mosques to renewable energy across the province.

KP government has allocated appropriate amount of annual budget 2017-18 for solarizing of 4000 mosques which will be completed this year, while solarization of 500 water supply projects is also part of the plane.

Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was talking to a delegation of Shangla led by MPA Shuakat Ali Yousafzai and provincial Minister Abdul Munim Khan at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar.

Chief Minister assured the delegation to promote Kaper Banda on tourism lines and provide necessary infrastructure to attract tourists to the area. He added that health sector development would be the priority area of his government and he would ensure healthcare facilities to the locals.

However, taking to the delegation he disagreed with the quota for the people of the area in medical and engineering colleges adding that it would kill the very spirit of merit and would lead to open and window for favouritism and corruption.

KP Govt contemplating to appoint qualified ‘Pesh-Imam’ in the province

The provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is considering a proposal to appoint educated Pesh-Imams(Cleric) in mosques and pay them a monthly stipends.

According to the sources, the provincial directed Auqaf department to make necessary arrangements for this purpose, earlier this month.

Pervez Khattak has also confirmed that our Govt is planning to pay the Pesh Imam(Cleric) of mosques in order to provide financial support to the Pesh-Imam of all mosques across the province.

In order to implement the recruiting of Pesh-Imam, Minister for Religious Affairs Habibur Rehman said that, “We have started collecting data on mosques on the direction of the chief minister”.
