Suleman Dawood School of Business at LUMS has been ranked among the world’s top 300 business schools by a British ranking agency.

The Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) now stands amongst top 300 business schools of the world according to the latest rankings by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2017.

The latest Global Universities QS Rankings are the momentous occasion for Lahore University of Management Sciences, as Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) to have been identified as ‘business and management studies’ subject group within the QS rankings.

Being the only Pakistani university to be featured on the list issued by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), LUMS took to its official Facebook page to announce the achievement with following statement.

“LUMS is honored to announce that the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) now ranks amongst the top 300 business schools globally, as ranked by QS World University Rankings for 2017,” the page read.

“SDSB, identified under the ‘Business and Management’ studies subject group at LUMS has excelled in research, teaching methods and top placements around the world and has achieved this milestone owing to its incredible faculty and talented students,” it added.

This year’s ranking included the 300 best business schools from around the world. Each of the subject rankings is compiled using academics and Employer reputation, research impact, based on research citations per paper and h-index in the relevant subject.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017 cover a total of 46 disciplines – highlighting the world’s top-performing universities in each academic area.

The rankings are compiled annually to help prospective students identify the leading universities in a particular subject. Research citations, along with the results of major global surveys of employers and academics are used to rank universities.

Taking this laurel forward, the Dr. Syed further went on to say that, “We will continue to work towards our vision of being in the top 20 business schools in Asia in the next 5 years”.
