Mehreen Jabbar’s ‘Dobara Phir Se’ set to release on Eid 2016

The trailer of much awaited film Dobara Phir se is out. The film is a tale of growing friendships and relationships with individual, interesting stories if each character.

The romantic drama film is directed by Mahreen Jabbar and co-produced by Salman Iqbal, Jarjees Seja and Jabbar herself. The official media and distribution partner is ARY Films.

The cast includes a lot of youth icons such as Ali Kazmi, Sanam Saeed, Adeel Hussain, Hareem Farooq, Tooba Siddiqui, Shaz Khan, and seniors like Atiqa Odho. It also stars a certain Musa Ahmed Khan as well, who represents the underage audience.

Atiqa Odho will play the role of a mother-in-law to actor Hareem Farooq in the film.

By the looks of it, the one-minute trailer is reminiscent of Bollywood’s 2011 hit Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara — but with a lot more emotion and drama.

Mehreen’s directorial prowess is evident as the film, shot across Karachi and New York, seems to offer a complete cinematic experience, looks very slick and is all set to make its mark when it releases across cinemas this Eid-ul-Fitr.

Mehreen told that Dobara Phir Se is the story of two soul-mates who meet each other at different junctures in their lives and are unable to start their relationship due to various complications.

The background score for the film has been composed by Haniya Aslam of Zeb and Haniya fame, with multiple singers like Jimmy Khan, Shiraz Uppal and Indian vocalist Rekha Bhardwaj contributing to the soundtrack.

Mehreen Jabbar, the talented filmmaker who brought us Ramchand Pakistani is known for bringing present-day issues to light through her films, and her second film will be no different.
