Electric car charging station opens in Lahore

Metro Pakistan has installed the first-ever fast-charging station for Electric Vehicles (EV) in Lahore city.

This is the first such initiative by any retail store in Pakistan. Being a responsible business, Metro installed the charging station to reaffirm its commitment towards environmental sustainability.

The electric charging station was inaugurated by Marek Minkiewicz, Managing Director of Metro Pakistan Private Limited and Ahmad Najeeb, Chief Executive Officer of Albario Engineering Private Limited (AEPL) at Metro Thokar Niaz Beg store in Lahore.

The ABB Terra 54 station presents an opportunity for the people of Lahore and those visiting to charge their Electric Vehicles in a short period with a range of available charging ports to facilitate any type of EV vehicle.

This collaboration with AEPL and ABB is a major step taken by Metro Pakistan to supports the Clean and Green Pakistan initiative of the Government.

Metro plans to open more EV charging stations in the coming months in other cities of Pakistan.
