Pakistan and Bahrain to strengthen defense cooperation

Pakistan COAS Gen Bajwa presented the Bahrain Order (First Class)

Pakistan and Bahrain top officials discussed various aspects of bilateral ties, particularly within military and defense cooperation.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), paid an official visit to Bahrain during which he called on Bahrain’s Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad bin lsa Al Khalifa.

The two leaders discussed bilateral defense and security cooperation and the regional security situation in the Middle East. Bahraini leadership reaffirmed “special relationship with Pakistan” and pledged to further improve ties.

Kingdom of Bahrain’s Crown Prince praised the growing relationship between Pakistan and Bahrain and its role in promoting regional security and stability.

Military exercise

During his official visit, the COAS also witnessed the closing ceremony of Pak-Bahrain joint military exercise Al Badar-V and appreciated the standard and outcome of the training. “The exercise signifies the joint efforts of both nations against terrorism” he said.

COAS awarded Bahrain Order (First Class)

Pakistan Army Chief was also presented with the Bahrain Order (First Class) by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his significant contributions to strengthening Pakistan-Bahrain defense cooperation.

Official meetings

General Qamar Javed Bajwa also held meetings with Bahrain Defense Force (BDF) Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Commander Bahrain National Guard, His Royal Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Isa Al Khalifa to discuss further improvement in defense ties.
