Czech Chief of General Staff appreciated achievements of Operation Zarb-e-Azb and praised Pakistan’s armed forces
RAWALPINDI – Chief of General Staff Czech Republic Armed Forces General Josef Becvar called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Tuesday. Upon arrival, the Czech Republic Armed Forces chief was presented a guard of honour by a batch of Pakistan army soldiers.
“During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including regional security situation and measures to enhance defence cooperation between both the countries were discussed,” the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.
Czech Chief of General Staff appreciated achievements of Operation Zarb-e-Azb and paid rich tribute to Pakistan’s sacrifices in bringing peace and stability in the region.
The Czech Republic army chief also laid a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhuda after being accorded a warm welcome.
Separately, Maldives Defence Minister Adam Shareef Umar also called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif at GHQ.
