RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Army soldiers have won an international sniping and shooting competition in Beijing. The team representing Pakistan Army secured the first position in all individual and team events, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Naik Arshad representing the Pakistan Army was declared the best sniper of the competition.

The international sniper competition kicked off on Aug. 22 in Beijing. Forty-two snipers from 15 countries including China, Russia, and France took part in 12 categories. The competition, hosted by the Chinese People’s Armed Police Force, will be held biennially.

‘The team secured the first position in individual, as well as team events,’ ISPR DG Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said on Twitter.

In July, a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) C-130 Hercules transport aircraft won the Concours D’ Elegance trophy at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) Show 2016 at Royal Air Force Base Fair Ford in the United Kingdom. More than 200 aircraft from 50 countries participated in the competition.
