Pakistan, Bahrain sign MoUs to promote bilateral trade, investment

Pakistan and Bahrain, on Monday, signed Memorandum of Understandings regarding promotion of bilateral trade and investment, avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion. 

These MoUs were signed by Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Bahraini Counterpart Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa in Islamabad on Monday.

The two leaders agreed for further enhancement of bilateral relations between the two countries.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister also informed the official from Bahrain about the regional security situation including Pakistan’s efforts in the Afghan peace process and the continuous Indian aggression adding that Pakistan has the capability to respond befittingly to any Indian aggression.

Foreign Minister Qureshi also thanked the dignitary for the gift of University from Bahrain.

King Hamad of Bahrain had announced funding for King Hamad University of Nursing and Associated Medical Sciences in 2014, and it was decided that Pakistan would arrange land and utility services for the university while Bahrain would fund its construction.

The second session of Pakistan-Bahrain joint ministerial session will be held in October 2019.
