Pakistan CJCSC, Defense Production Minister discuss military ties with UAE

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza called on Lieutenant General Hammad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithy, Chief of Staff UAE Armed Forces during his two day long official visit to the UAE. CJCSC also held separate meetings with all Chiefs of tri-services. Both sides discussed matters of mutual interest in counter terrorism, security and the prevailing regional environment, especially in Kashmir and Afghanistan. The two sides reaffirmed their resolve to forge deeper ties.

Chairman JCSC also visited International Defense Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) and Naval Defence & Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX) in Abu Dhabi. He visited various stalls from different Pakistani organizations as well as participating Pak Naval Ships. General Raza lauded their efforts in showcasing Pakistan’s indigenously manufactured defense-related equipment at global level.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, Chairman JCSC also called on General Enzo Vecciarelli, Italy’s Chief of Defence (CHOD). During the meetings, Chairman JCSC said that Pakistan defense manufacturing sector is capable of meeting the bulk requirements of foreign customers in the select areas of medium to high end technologies.

Pak defense production minister call on UAE’s defense minister

Minister for Defense Production of Pakistan Zubaida Jalal met with the Minister of State for Defense of the UAE Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi during her visit from 20-24 February 2021. Pakistan’s Ambassador Afzaal Mahmood and Air Commodore Ali Asher, Defense Attaché were also present during the meeting. Jalal conveyed a message of goodwill from the Prime Minister and Pakistan’s willingness to work closely in the defense production sector to bolster the existing Pakistan-UAE bilateral relations. She also thanked the hosts for their hospitality. During her stay, Jalal also attended the NAVDEX/IDEX 2021 being held in Abu Dhabi. She congratulated the hosts on holding such as successful event despite the challenges posted by COVID-19.
