Several Ambassadors and diplomats of the Muslim countries based in Berlin, German scholars, Representatives of the Research organizations, Students and representatives of Pakistani community attended the ceremony.
Speaking on this occasion, Ambassador, Syed Hasan Javed said that the author of the book made a lot of efforts to do research on the subject and formulated his views, typical of a military man. He analyzed the issue in an objective manner without any bias and suggested solution to the problem, the Ambassador added.
Ambassador Syed Hasan Javed also expressed hope that the book would be received well not only in the Muslim world but also in countries where there was a growing interest in understanding the issues and problems concerning the Muslim community.
The author of the book, Major General (Rtd.) Shaukat Iqbal made an impressive presentation on the salient features of the book. He said that the book was premised on ever worsening condition of Muslim World, its causes and future prospects. Book offers incisive research into the strategic issues underlying the rise and fall of the Muslim world and the challenges it confronts. It is an analytical work covering a spectrum of 1400 years of tumultuous history, he added. -PPA
Islamic Calligraphic Exhibition held
Meanwhile Pakistan Embassy also organized a 2-day Exhibition of Islamic Calligraphic Artwork by a famous Pakistani Artist, Anjum Ayaz at the Embassy premises. It was inaugurated jointly by the Ambassadors of Malaysia, Indonesia, Bahrain, and Jordan based in Berlin.
