Pakistan successfully tests cruise missile Ra’ad

Pakistan conducted successful flight test of Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) ‘Ra’ad’: ISPR

RAWALPINDI – Pakistan has successfully tested its cruise missile named Ra’ad. The cruise missile technology is available to only few other countries. Ra’ad can hit its target at a distance up to 350 kilometers with success.

Ra’ad has been developed completely in Pakistan and has the latest technology due to which it cannot be detected by the radar. In order to avoid being detected, the missile can hit its target traveling at a very low height.

Terming it a major step towards complementing Pakistan’s deterrence capability, Director General Strategic Plan Division Lieutenant General Mazhar Jamil congratulated the team behind Ra’ad on achieving yet another milestone of historic significance, the statement added.

The military did not say where the test was conducted.

President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have congratulated the scientists and engineers for their outstanding achievement on the successful flight test.
