Pakistan has successfully tested the indigenously developed Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) Fatah-1 to boost the firepower capabilities of Pakistan Army.

Fatah-1 will help improve Pakistan’s capability to meet current and future threats. The rocket system is capable of delivering a conventional warhead up to a range of 140 kilometers.

“The weapon system will give Pakistan Army the capability of precision target engagement deep in enemy territory,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

Pakistan President Dr Arif Alvi, PM Imran Khan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa congratulated the participating troops and scientists on the successful conduct of the flight test.

In January 2019, Pakistan Army inducted indigenously developed A-100 Rocket in Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). With over 100 kilometers range, A-100 is considered a highly effective and potent for interdiction that can effectively disrupt the enemy’s mobilization and assembly.
