Pakistan has briefed the P-5 and the European Union about the arrest of an on-duty officer of Indian covert agency RAW from Balochistan and his involvement in subversive activities inside Pakistan, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesman said.
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan on Thursday said it has informed the United Nations, European Union and major world capitals about the arrest of an Indian “spy” from restive Balochistan province, Radio Pakistan has reported. and asked Iran to provide details of his “spy network”.

Kulbhushan Yadav, the alleged chief operative of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) was arrested by Pakistani security agencies last week from Chaman near Quetta.
Speaking at his weekly news briefing, foreign office spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said major world capitals and EU have been informed about the arrest of a serving Indian Navy officer for planning “subversive activities” in Pakistan, Radio Pakistan reported.
“We have also brought this to the attention of P-5 (China, France, Russia, United Kingdom and United States) and EU members,” he said.
“The international community is being briefed through our missions abroad as the investigation progresses and more evidence becomes available.”
The entire world has seen the admission statement of the Indian agent, Zakaria said, referring to the so-called “confessional video” of Yadav released earlier this week by the Pakistani army.
He said the arrest of RAW agent has exposed Indian designs against Pakistan.
The spokesperson said that Indian request for counsulor access to Kulbhushan Yadav is under consideration.
Nafees Zakaria said the government will be able to comment on the level of Indian cooperation with Pakistan’s joint investigation team probing Pathankot terror attack after the team returns home.
He said modalities are being worked out for resumption of Pak-India foreign-secretary level talks.
The spokesman reiterated the government’s resolve to bring perpetrators of Lahore terror attack to justice and continue efforts to eliminate terrorism.
Responding to a question, Nafees Zakaria said Afghanistan’s baseless allegations against Pakistan will only strengthen terrorists. He said regional cooperation is crucial for restoration of peace in Afghanistan.
The government on Tuesday released a video showing Kulbhushan Yadav, an India navy officer, confessing he had been working for the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) to carry out subversive activities in Balochistan and Karachi.
“You cannot find bigger evidence than this (regarding the involvement of RAW in destabilising Pakistan,” Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said, adding that Islamabad should raise this issue at all forums, including the UN. He also appealed to other countries to cooperate with Pakistan in dealing with this issue.
Pakistan govt writes to Iran for help in probe into ‘Indian spy’ case
The Pakistan government has written to Iran seeking help in investigating the activities of Kulbhushan Jhadav, an Indian national arrested in Balochistan on charges of spying, according to a media report on Thursday.
Islamabad has sought from Tehran details about the stay and activities in Iran of an alleged Indian spy arrested in Pakistan, the state radio said yesterday.
According to the state radio, Pakistan has told Iran that its cooperation on the issue “will not only further strengthen brotherly relations between the two countries, but also reduce terrorist incidents and unrest in the region”.
Nafees Zakaria said the government is in contact with Tehran on RAW activities from its soil against Pakistan. He said Iran has assured that it will not allow its soil to be used against Pakistan.
