3 Pakistani Movies ‘Janaan’, ‘Actor in Law’ & ‘ZKHH’ Releasing on Eid-ul-Azha’ 2016

2016 might very well be the biggest and most fruitful year for the Pakistani film industry. Three upcoming movies – Janaan, Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai and Actor in Law – have been creating quite the stir on media.

The latest buzz is that no Bollywood movie will make its way to the Pakistani cinemas this year on Eid-ul-Azha.

Janaan and Actor in Law will be going head to head, as they are releasing on the same date i.e 13th September while Zindagi Kitni Haseen hai will release later that week i.e 16th September.

‘It was the demand of our producers and directors that only Pakistani films should be released on Eid. This time, fortunately, their wish is being fulfilled,’ Pakistan Film Writers Association General Secretary Rashid Sajid told media.

However, with the release dates of all the 3 Pakistani movies clashing in the week of Eid-ul-Azha, cinema houses will sure have a clash of the titans like situation.

Janaan

Janaan releasing on Eid Ul Azha 13th September 2016! The movie is written by Osman Khalid Butt and produced by Hareem Farooq, Reham Khan Munir Hussain, Imran Kazmi and Directed by Azfar Jafri.

Janaan is a story of a Pakhtun girl who returns from Britain after her education. The story comically defies the stereotypes about Pashtun families. Armeena plays a Pashtun British girl while Ali Rehman plays the carefree Islamabad ka Shoda (showoff). Bilal Ashraf, however, looks totally swoon worthy playing a charming, calm and composed Mr. Nice Guy.

This film will be released by ARY Films in 2016. Let’s see how the movie turns out!
