Pakistanis are mourning the first death anniversary top humanitarian and philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi, who passed away at the age 88 on July 8, 2016 due to kidney failure.

Abdul Sattar Edhi is known as Pakistan’s most respected figure for his contributions to the society, Abdul Sattar Edhi was a beacon of light, a saviour who till his last breathe served humanity.

Edhi‘s charity Foundation runs the world’s largest volunteer ambulance service. He performed his last act of charity by donating his corneas, giving sight to two visually disabled people.

Edhi made the every Pakistani very proud in a way probably no second personality did, that’s why today the whole country mourns the loss of its “Richest poor man” on his first death anniversary as social media remembers and pays tribute to the philanthropist.

In March 2017, State Bank of Pakistan issued a Rs. 50 commemorative coin to commemorate the services of Edhi, keeping in view the meritorious services he rendered for humanity.

In a tribute message, on Edhi‘s death anniversary Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Abdul Sattar Edhi devoted his entire life in the service of humanity while rising above the caste, creed and colour discrimination.This is the reason that Edhi is greatly adored and respected at the international level.

Nawaz Sharif said the best way to pay tributes to Edhi is that we also follow his footsteps and serve the humanity.

On other side social media especially Twitter and Facebook Paying glowing tribues national hero Abdul Sattar Edhi by quoting #MainEdhiHoon hashtag.

Pakistani citizens from all walk of life including showbiz, political and sports celebrities contributing to pay rich tribute to the great Pakistani humanitarian.

Pakistan mourned the loss of it’s “Richest poor man” and tributes were paid to the philanthropist on social media.
