Serene Air will be the fourth airline to offer domestic flights in Pakistan
KARACHI – Serene Air received its license to establish a private airline in Pakistan, has added the first aircraft in its opening fleet. Serene Air will soon launch its domestic operation probably in December in Pakistan and expected to get two more Boeing 747-800 NG aircraft in coming days. The airline is yet to receive the Air Operator’s Certificate from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The aircraft is one of the first of three Boeing 737-800s that will be the starting planes for the new private airline’s service. These aircraft will be specifically used for domestic routes starting from December 2016. Serene Air will be the fourth airline to offer domestic flights.
Serene Air has planned to operate with a fleet of 3-7 737-800s aircraft to domestic locations such as Lahore, Quetta, Islamabad, Peshawar, Karachi, and Multan.
The company welcomed its first Boeing 737 jet yesterday, flown in from Seattle, US — the home of Boeing — to Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. Serene Air has said that it will also launch its international operations after two years of domestic flights.
‘Sky Interior of NG 737 will enhance the customer experience that company has designed for its passengers,’ CEO of Serene Air Sohail Gul said.
The Sky Interior in 737 feels roomier and ceilings appear higher and feature lighting to match phases of flight for better ambiance.
Boeing 737 is one of the most successful airliners with over 9,000 deliveries to 500 operators in 126 nations.
