President, PM pay tribute to the nation’s father on his birth anniversary

The nation is celebrating the 144th birth anniversary of the founder of the nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who was born on December 25th, 1976, in Karachi. The mark the day, government has declared 25th December as a national holiday. A number of official and private events take place today for remembrance of the great leader. Flags are hoisted on all principal government buildings across Pakistan.

President, Prime Minister, pay homage to the great leader

President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan both paid their tributes to the Quaid-e-Azam on his birth anniversary. Alvi emphasized that we must adopt his ideals to become strong as a nation. He also said that Jinnah paid special attention to the minorities and we need to follow his footsteps. “We pledge to follow his ideals to make Pakistan a strong and prosperous country,” Alvi said.

The president also urged the international community to rescue the people persecuted by the state in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). “India has unleashed a reign of terror against them and has imposed a complete lockdown since last year. We urge the international community to compel and shame India to stop committing human rights violations and grant Kashmiris their right to self-determination as promised under the UN Security Council resolutions,” the President said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan showered praise on the nation’s founder, calling him a role model not just for the Muslims but people in general around the world. He advised the nation to learn from his example as he made many personal sacrifices for the betterment of the people and follow his path to achieve great success. He prayed to the Almighty that we could live up to Jinnah’s dream and make Pakistan one of the world’s strongest nations.
