PTCL and KP Govt to Establish Incubator and Tech Park in Peshawar

PTCL will be extending Cloud services and surveillance solutions to the Incubation centre, IT Park

The Pakistan Telecommunication Limited (PTCL) has signed a strategic settlement with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board to establish a state-of-the-art Incubation Center (Innovation Lab) and Software Park in Peshawar.

The incubation Centre and the Software Technology Park to be built for the provision of ICT providers and a facility to the local IT companies.

Incubation Center will be fully equipped with high-speed internet, international connectivity, voice and WiFi for the young startup entrepreneurs and IT companies.

The establishment of incubation centre will go a long way in the growth of IT business in KP province and will enable young and creative tech start-ups to grow their businesses and contribute to country’s GDP.

PTCL is trying to extend its Cloud services and surveillance solutions to companies in the incubation centre and in the STP and will also assist in mentorship to tech startups enrolled in the incubation centre.

The Chief Digital Providers Officer Adil Rashid said that we are delighted to extend our partnership with the KP government in the field of IT and telecom and we are honoured that KP IT Board has selected PTCL as a partner for establishing incubation centres and STPs in the province.

He further said he PTCL remains committed to improving the lifestyle and empowering people through its futuristic and diversified products and digital services.

On this occasion, Pakhtunkhwa IT Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai said that Provincial government from its start had a strong vision of serving the citizens by providing innovative services to the masses and has already initiated many projects of public welfare.

The agreement was signed by M. Suleman Awan, General Manager, Digital Services, PTCL and by Imran Khan, Director Administration, KP IT Board, and Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
