PTDC to set up Wildlife Park near Kular village

Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) aims to develop setup a Wildlife Park and resort with modern facilities near Kular village on the motorway.

Abdul Ghafoor, Managing Director PTDC said that the publicity of beautiful sites in Pakistan through media and other means could bring fruitful results. There are many opportunities for tourism in Pakistan but this sector needs investment so that we will be able to provide world-class facilities to tourists.

Abdul Ghafoor said a beautiful resort is being setup at Rawalpindi, which will be constructed on the pattern of the Ottoman-Mughal construction style.

As per him there are a number of initiatives within the pipeline for the event of tourism within the nation, together with a bus terminal at Nankana Sahib, the institution of motels in Hawks Bay Karachi, Moenjodaro, Baran Kalay (KP) and vacationer facilitation centres in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Quetta and Peshawar.

PTDC owns lands in several areas across the country, which can be set up for tourist facilities through joint ventures which is used for Aiwan-e-Sayyahat/ PTDC Headquarters in Islamabad Naltar valley ski resort, 172 acres at coast of Gudani in Balochistan, Sukkur, Banjosa Lake (Azad Kashmir) Muzaffarabad (Azad Kashmir).

The provincial minister for tourism Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said Pakistan have beautiful land and beauty just like other countries and by the publicity of these sites can bring fruitful results.

Javed Mujeed which ownes hotels chain and resorts in UK said manyopportunities for tourism in Pakistan, but this sector needs investment so that we will be able to provide world-class facilities to tourists.

Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor said that they are committed to end visa-related issues and will resolve the problem soon. He also appointed Javed Majeed as Honorary Coordinator of Pakistan Tourism in London.
