The event was conducted as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar Program, which aims to host iftar banquets in cities and provinces throughout Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim country.

Ansharullah expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia’s leadership for the event, and stated that the Indonesian government will seek to have this event recorded in the Guinness World Records as the longest-ever iftar table in the country’s history. The table was arranged in coordination with approximately 40 restaurants and 400 workers.

Ansharullah also expressed hope that such initiatives would strengthen the relationship between the governments and peoples of both countries and promote the bonds of brotherhood among Muslims and other communities.
