Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot in the fairytale wedding

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said their “I dos” in a fairy tale ceremony in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on Saturday.

Meghan, who arrived at the chapel with her mother, Doria Ragland, was a beautiful bride as she walked down the aisle to wed her royal fiancé in an elegant service fit for a princess.

The newlyweds were all smiles as they left the chapel with their adorable bridal party in tow, including Harry’s niece and nephew, Princess Charlotte and Prince George.

Harry’s 92-year-old grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip were in attendance as Markle arrived in St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, wearing a long white veil and a glittering tiara.

The 36-year-old bride walked up the aisle on her own before being joined half way by Harry’s father Prince Charles. Her own father pulled out amid a media row that overshadowed the meticulous palace preparations.

Markle wore a long-sleeved gown by British designer Clare Waight Keller, who last year became the first female artistic director of French fashion house Givenchy, along with Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, which Kensington Palace said was lent to Markle by Queen Elizabeth II.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds will climb into the Ascot Landau carriage from the Royal Mews to take them on their first horse-drawn journey through the streets of Windsor.

The British-American pair are now officially known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and the duchess will take her place among senior members of the royal family. As they stood at the altar, Harry, 33, said to Meghan: “You look amazing.”

The service was attended by close family and friends, including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Kate Middleton. Charles had a special role in the service, escorting Meghan down the aisle after it was confirmed that her father, Thomas Markle, couldn’t attend the wedding.
