Taking outdoor photography is setting a new elevation, A Californian couple decided to their wedding celebrations at the most stunning scene Mount Everest, which is highest mountain in the world.

The Californian couple spent three weeks in the base camp at 17,000 feet above sea level to materialise their dream of getting married on Mount Everest.

According to the couple, Ashley describing her desire for an adventure wedding but wasn’t sure where. Churchill specialist adventurous photographer suggested Mount Everest, since he had visited base camp in 2015, but nature had other plans. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal had made it dangerous to climb the mountain at that time.

James Sissom, 35, and Ashley Schmieder, 32 spent a year planning the trip and had to bear below freezing temperatures. Their wedding photography at the scenic beauty of ice-clad mountains and couple with mesmerising clouds just made all of their pictures look so unreal.

“After much deliberation, we decided a traditional wedding was not the right fit for us. As much as we would have loved to share our special day with our family and friends, we were both drawn to the idea of eloping during an incredible vacation,” said Schmieder while speaking to the Daily Mail.

While the wedding and venue was quite unique and unconventional, bride Ashley dressed in a beautiful strapless white wedding dress while the groom looked smart in a tuxedo, even the condition on the mountains was not favourable but they were determined to have their wedding there.

The wedding was documented by Charleton Churchill who is a specialist adventure wedding photographer. Churchill in his blog writes, “I wasn’t sure if I would find another couple to get married on Everest anytime soon.”

Talking about the final wedding day he writes, “When we arrived to base camp, we were told we have 1 hr and 30 minutes to eat, get married, pack up, and get on a helicopter. So, we ate, drank, and got married in an hour.”
