The climax of lunar eclipse in Pakistan will be at 18:31 Pakistan Time (PST)

The triple lunar event of Super Blue Blood Moon will be seen in different countries around the world for the first time since 1866, including Pakistan

According to scientists the event is causing a buzz as it combines three unusual lunar events an extra big super moon, a blue moon and a total lunar eclipse.

According to chief Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Dr Ghulam Rasul it’s a combination of three celestial events, a super moon, blue moon and lunar eclipse, is what makes this event so spectacular and last time all three coincided together was in 1866.

In Pakistan climax of lunar eclipse will be at 18:31 Pakistan Time (PST) and most countries will miss out to see the triple lunar event, that hasn’t been seen since 1866.

A total lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth’s shadow moves across the Moon, blocking out the light from the Sun.

A super moon happens when the moon is closer to Earth in orbit, making it appear brighter. When the moon crosses the earth’s shadow, it will turn blood red.

The total phase of this lunar eclipse is known as a Blood Moon because of reddish orange glow, but in some parts of the world, it will be seen as Blue Moon.

During the total eclipse, the moon, the second full moon of January, will have a reddish hue because of the way the atmosphere manipulates light.

No one has seen something like this in more than 150 years. It’s because we have a short month following this Blue Moon so there won’t be any Moon in February.

The next super moon lunar eclipse visible on January 19, 2019 visible but this one won’t be visible from Australia so you’ll need to travel to North or South America to get the best view of that one.
