Thousands of people including prominent personalities from different Junaid Jamshed’s funeral prayers at AKD ground in Defence, Karachi.
Pakistan’s beloved singer-turned-preacher Junaid Jamshed was laid to rest at Darul Uloom Korangi in Karachi amid tears and sobs.
Junaid Jamshed, his wife Naha Jamshed and 47 others were killed in PIA PK-661 air crash near Havelian on 7 December 2016 last week. He was laid to rest at Dar ul Aloom, Korangi Karachi according to his wish.
Renowned religious Scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel addressed the participants and led Junaid’s funeral prayer at AKD ground DHA Phase 8, Karachi. Maulana Tariq Jameel spoke at length about how unexpected and temporary life is. Junaid Jamshed’s coffin Shielded in Pakistani flag, was brought to the ADK ground in Pakistan Navy’s protocol.
Jamshed’s dead body was identified by forensic expert team through dental history and facial X-ray six days after plane crash unfortunate PIA plane.
Yesterday evening, Juniad’s body was brought to Karachi from Islamabad through C-130 plane. After, his brother Humayun Jamshed and religious mentor Maulana Tariq Jameel received the body from the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad and offered his first funeral prayer by Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at Noor Khan Airbase, Rawalpindi.
Religious scholar Junaid’s wife Neha Junaid, Who was also killed in air crash, was laid to rest. Her funeral prayer was offered at today 2.00PM in a masjid near Askary-10 Sector-B and was buried Cavalry Ground graveyard Cantt Lahore. Her dead body were handed over to her mother on December 12.
Prominent personalities from all the walks of life attended the funeral Chief of Air Staff, Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, senior civil and military officials, including Brig (r) Muhammad Zulfiqar, Maj (r) Muhammad Javed, Maj (r) Amer Raza, Col (r) Abid, Incharge Askary 10 Col. Iqbal, Maj (r) Azmattullah attended funeral prayer.
It was also attended by Politicians Dr Farooq Sattar and Najmi Alam, showbiz personalities Saud, Faakhir and Aijaz Aslam and cricketers Muhammad Hafeez and Muhammad Yousuf. The family members of late Junaid Jamshed were also present on the occasion.
Junaid Jamshed, his wife Naha Jamshed, DC Chitral Osama Warraich, two Austrians and a Chinese national were among the 47 killed in the unfortunate PIA PK-661 crash in hills of Gagan, in Batolni village, around seven kilometers away from Havelian city, last week.
According to the official authorities, investigations has been started in collaboration with experts from French-Italian aircraft company ATR.
