Uber launches campaign to raise funds for Shaukat Khanum in Ramazan

Uber is donating the fare from any ride taken using the promo code UBERLOVESSKMH to Shaukat Khanum

Uber, the world’s leading technology app that connects riders to drivers, has joined hands with Pakistan’s largest cancer hospital, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre to raise funds for the needy patients.

Uber has announced the campaign as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives this Ramazan. The aim of the CSR partnership is to raise funds for  Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) by utilizing Uber’s technology platform.

Uber will donate the complete payment for any ride taken using the promo code UBERLOVESSKMH to Shaukat Khanum.

For the first round of the campaign, the Uber team went to SKMH last Friday and distributed gifts among the children. Uber team members also spend the whole day with the kids, interacting and playing with them.

Speaking about the CSR initiative Mr. Safee Shah, GM Uber Pakistan said, “At Uber we strongly believe in the power of technology to shape a better future for the communities we operate in. Our partnership with Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) is another step towards celebrating cities for the greater benefit of society. We will be donating the fare for any rides taken using the promo code UBERLOVESSKMH.”
