AUDI signs feasibility study to assemble cars in Pakistan

AUDI AG and Sindh Board of Investment have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Ingolstadt, Germany, welcoming AUDI to study the possibility to assemble vehicles in the province of Sindh in Pakistan.

Under the MoU, the brand with the Four Rings will study the federal trade policies, legal, logistical and economic feasibility to establish an assembly plant in the province of Sindh through its authorized general importer in Pakistan, Premier Systems.

The signing of the MoU by Ms. Naheed Memon, Sindh Board of Investment and Mr. Martin Birkner of AUDI AG was witnessed by Mr. Rainer Schmiedchen, Consul-General of Germany in Karachi and Mr. Arshad Raza of Premier Systems.

The Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) delegation led by its Chairperson Naheed Memon visited the AUDI office and plant in Ingolstadt, Germany

The delegation discussed exchange of expertise of the German automaker with Pakistan for manufacturing environment-friendly vehicles, including motorcycles.
