The United States has struck new trade deals with Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, just days before the Trump administration’s self-imposed August 1 tariff deadline.
Trump announced an extension of the deadline for imposing new reciprocal tariffs to August 1, while warning that duties of up to 40% will be levied on selected countries if trade agreements are not reached by then.
