India-based element, devices used to issue fake threats to NZ team

Pakistani experts have unmasked the India-generated elements and devices used to frighten the New Zealand cricket team and scare them off to leave Pakistan citing supposed terror threats.

A thorough investigation conducted by Pakistani officials in close collaboration with Interpol and other world agencies revealed that Indian origin persons using fake IDs, fake Singapore IP addresses delivered the terror threats to the New Zealand team that apparently got frightened and left Pakistan without sharing the content or the source of the supposed threats.

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry disclosed the details of hidden Indian hands behind the terror hoax in a press conference in Islamabad on September 22, 2021address a press conference in Islamabad. 

It also became clear that India-based elements were also apparently running the account of a TTP terrorist by the name of Ehsanullah Ihsan whose name is often used to claim terror attacks inside Pakistan.


Pakistani officials are now proceeding with legal action against misuse of the internet and fake accounts to scare off New Zealanders inside Pakistan. The Government has already started criminal charges.
