Pakistan, UAE, Turkey, Iran, Qatar and other leaders from Muslim world condemn terror attacks in Saudi Arabia and urge for unity among muslims
Gulf and Arab States strongly condemned terrorist attacks that rocked Saudi Arabia on Monday, pledging to unify efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms.
A suicide bombing outside Prophet’s Mosque (PBUH) in Madina killed four Saudi security forces yesterday. Similar attacks near a Shiite mosque and a US Consulate in two other Saudi cities of Qatif and Jeddah raised fears of a coordinated assault aimed at destabilising the kingdom.
There were no claims of responsibility, but the Islamic State group had urged its supporters to carry out attacks during the holy month and has claimed or been blamed for a wave of Ramadan shootings and bombings, including in Orlando, Bangladesh, Istanbul and Baghdad.
The Muslim world, including Pakistan, Iran, Egypt, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and others have strongly condemned the attacks, pledging to unify efforts to combat terrorism in all its forms.
Pakistan
Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia resulting in loss of lives and injuries. Foreign Office Spokesman in a statement said the Government and people of Pakistan are in deep anguish over the tragedy and extend their heartfelt condolences to the brotherly government.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said, ‘The attacks are not acceptable. Our prayers and wishes are with the families of those killed in the spineless attacks.’
COAS General Raheel Sharif spoke to Saudi Defence Minister Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on the phone and expressed his anguish over the incidents, and said, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with our Saudi brothers in fighting the menace of terrorism.’
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and others also condemned the attack.

Iran
Iran condemned three suicide bombings that rocked its regional rival Saudi Arabia. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said, ‘there are no more red lines left for terrorists to cross. Sunnis and Shias will both remain victims unless we stand united as one.’

Egypt
Egypt expressed its full support to Saudi Arabia in facing terrorism. The foreign affairs ministry’s spokesman, Ahmed Abu Zayd, stressed the need to unify international efforts to fight terrorism.
Kuwait
Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah condemned the terror attacks against the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah. He reiterated Kuwait’s firm rejection to all forms of terrorism and expressed full support for international efforts to address terrorism financing.
Qatar
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemnation to ‘those criminal acts that contradicts all humanitarian, moral and Islamic values.’ The Ministry conveyed Qatar’s condolences to the people of Saudi Arabia and the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery, the statement added.

United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned the despicable terrorist attacks which hit the cities of Jeddah, Qatif and the Prophet’s Mosque in the city of Medina.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, U.A.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reiterated that ‘the U.A.E. stands in full solidarity with the leaders and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and fully backs any measures they take to eliminate the danger of terrorism which aims to undermine the security and stability of the Kingdom, and which does not respect the sanctity of this month, the Prophet’s Mosque and other places of worship that it targets.’
Turkey
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has offered his condolences to the people of Saudi Arabia over recent terrorist attacks. Erdoğan called King Salman of Saudi Arabia to express his condolences after a series of terror attacks hit Medina, Jeddah and Qatif. The two leaders also reiterated their will to further develop bilateral relations.
Oman
The Sultanate of Oman expressed its strong condemnation to the wave of terror that hit Saudi Arabia at the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan. ‘Terrorism had no religion and no goal but to kill innocent lives,’ statement added.
U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Joseph Westphal condemned the attacks in Jeddah, Qatif and Medina.
Saudi Arabia has been a target of Islamic State (IS) attacks that have killed dozens of people. In June, the Interior Ministry reported 26 terror attacks in the last two years.
