Thousands of Pakistanis form human image of Christchurch Mosque

Must Read

Thousands of Pakistanis dressed in white gathered in a stadium in Punjab’s central city of Jhang to create a human image of Christchurch’s Al Noor mosque where a terrorist martyred 50 people, including nine Pakistanis, last month.

From the drone images, worshippers can be seen standing in formation, donned in white traditional shalwar kameez with matching prayer caps on an emerald green public field. Another group on the side-lines – formed the sentence ‘Islam is Peace.’

With huge flags of New Zealand and Pakistan displayed along with a giant banner that read: “Solidarity with the martyrs of Christchurch from Pakistan,” this was a unique and creative way of showing solidarity to the world.

The tribute that took place on Friday (April 12) was organized by the Muslim Institute, a non-government organization aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Muslim world.
