Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang appreciated his Pakistani counterpart’s positive remarks on supporting the development of China-Pakistan relations.

British Prime Minister Theresa May felicitated Imran and said new paths of partnerships will be opened with Pakistan in different sectors. The two leaders agreed to work on a wide range of issues including security cooperation, anti-corruption and bilateral trade, according to a 10 Downing Street spokesperson.

The US Department of State released a congratulatory statement stressing the importance of the strategic relationship shared by the two countries. “The United States looks forward to working with Pakistan’s new civilian government to promote peace and prosperity in Pakistan and the region,” spokesperson Heather Nauert said.

Turkey
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he wholeheartedly believes that relations between Turkey and Pakistan, which take their strength from our peerless bonds of fraternity and amity, will develop even further in every field towards the welfare and prosperity of our two people.
“I extend you my heartfelt congratulations upon your election as the Prime Minister of brotherly Pakistan, and wish you success. May Allah the Almighty be your friend and help you in your tenure,” wrote Erdogan in a letter to Imran Khan on Saturday.
Germany
German Chancellor Angela Merkel has congratulated Imran Khan on assuming office as 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Merkel, in a letter, said “Germany is ready to work with new government of Imran Khan.” She said Pak-German friendship will further deepen, adding that Germany will continue to support Pakistan in its anti-terrorism efforts, economy and democracy.
Singapore
Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong congratulated Pakistan’s new prime minister Imran Khan, wishing him success in his new role. Mr. Lee congratulated wished the new prime minister “good health and success”.
“Singapore and Pakistan enjoy friendly bilateral relations underpinned by people-to-people and historical ties,” “Pakistan was one of the first countries to recognise Singapore soon after our independence in 1965,” he said in a letter. “We commemorated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2016, and I look forward to further strengthening our bilateral cooperation under your leadership,” it added.
United Arab Emirates
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has sent a congratulatory message to Imran Khan who took the oath of office as Pakistan’s new Prime Minister.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also sent his best wishes to Imran Khan.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has extended his sincere congratulations to Imran Khan on his election as Pakistan’s new prime minister, expressing hope that the two countries would further improve relations during his tenure.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran, as always and particularly during the new era, expresses its readiness to expand relations and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan,” Rouhani said in a congratulatory message to Khan on Saturday.
United Nations
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Saturday warmly congratulated Imran Khan on the assumption of office as prime minister.
He hoped that under Khan’s leadership, the UN-Pakistan cooperation will be further strengthened in various fields, including the world body’s flagship peacekeeping operations around the globe. “I trust that under your leadership, our cooperation will be deepened and look forward to meeting you in person during the upcoming seventy-third session of the United Nations General Assembly,” the UN chief said in a letter that conveyed to PM Imran Khan his “warmest personal regards.”
