Sweden’s government has announced plans to strengthen its gun laws, including a ban on semi-automatic weapons, after the country’s worst mass shooting left 11 people dead.
Sweden is set to offer immigrants up to $34,000 to voluntarily return to their home countries starting in 2026, a substantial increase from the current $976 or 10,000 kronor.
Denmark and Greenland said Saturday that a proposed security agreement with the United States will not compromise Greenland’s sovereignty, seeking to clarify President Donald Trump’s claim that Washington would gain “permanent control” over the Arctic territory’s security.
